Who We Are

The Home Collection was inspired by a love for the arts and a desire to share it with the world.  We are a mother-daughter duo who believe in the power of art and in making art accessible to everyone who may be moved by it.

Art has always been a part of our lives, from a childhood home filled with mid-century modern furniture, to the many hours spent gazing at art in museums and in magazines. It embodies our thoughts, shapes the way we see the world, and teaches us an appreciation of the talents and dreams of artists.

The Home Collection is a passion project aimed to showcase up-and-coming artists and to help future generations express themselves through art.

Our Mission

Art is not only a beautiful painting or an intricate sculpture; it is the experience you have from observing the piece. Whether it’s a vivid watercolor painting or a perfectly crafted piece of furniture, there are many ways in which art can move us emotionally. And when you find that special piece that speaks to you, there is nothing more satisfying than bringing it home.

We know that not everyone has the opportunity to visit art exhibits and galleries, let alone to purchase a piece for themselves. However, we believe in the excitement that experiencing art can instill and the impact it can leave. The Home Collection is our way of making art accessible to everyone. 

The arts have often been rather exclusive, but we want to bring that “unknown” to art lovers worldwide. We want to create something wonderful for everyone to experience; no matter where you live, no matter what your status in life is.

We post monthly blog posts highlighting brilliant African American artists who have left extraordinary legacies, feature current minority artists from around the world, and resell our favorite pieces at affordable prices.
